Upon returning from Finland I was unfortunately attacked by a pesky virus. Instead of continuing training and racing some fun local races, I have been forced to sleep as much as possible for the last eleven days. As I recover, I have been walking or skiing slowly, taking more pictures, and taking advantage of the springtime sunshine.
Most of these pictures were taken around the Sugarloaf mountain near Cambellton, New Brunswick. This weekend there was a “Sled Dog Snowskate” race held here. This is a silly sport where a combination boot/ski is used. In cold and icy conditions one is liable to fall backwards and hit their head, in warm and slow conditions they move slowly and clumsily. There is a good reason that skis were invented.
I’m trying a new format with the slideshow below. Let me know what you think. If you make it through all the pictures, let me know and I’ll send you a postcard!
I like the colours in those sunset shots! I see you’re making good use of the new camera 😀
Thanks Eric! My next project will be to try to get some sunrise time lapse sequences.
