Dear Reader, please excuse the lower frequency of posts. Life is good, but busy. In truth this post begins at the end of 2023, with preparations for Christmas.

December snow.

Choosing a Christmas Tree.

Winter camping at Christmas Eve.

January skiing in Peter Lougheed Provincial Park.

Early season Alberta Cup with Hypersonic Racing Team.

In February the World Cup Cross Country Skiing circuit made a stop in Canmore. I was able to meet up with my former Team Ireland teammate Thomas Westgaard Maloney.

We skied with Thomas the weekend before the World Cup, which brought some wet weather which thankfully cleared out before the main events.

In March, Hana came to visit and we had some of the best skiing weather of the season.

At this point it was the IBU Biathlon World Cup circuit’s turn to visit Canmore.

Decent spring skiing continued into April.

During the winter I took a bike maintenance course and modified and built up several bicycles at home.

After the snow melted we were able to do some work in the back garden.

We also got away to a good friends wedding in Washington D.C. Canadian Embassy pictured above.

In May we turned our focus to running, and Laura tackled a half marathon in Canmore.

In June the lilacs were in full bloom in the city.

Meanwhile, in the mountains there was still snow to be found.

This year we’ll not only be racing during Orienteering events, but also trying our hand at planning courses for others.

At the end of each orienteering event all the control flags need to be collected.

In late June we explored the Crowsnest Pass area of southern Alberta.
Looking forward to the summer ahead!
