In the winter of 2013 I decided that in order to qualify for the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi, Russia, I would need to take time off work to adequately prepare myself. I joined forces with my coach and friend Petr Jakl for this ambitious project. For a year my life was an exciting whirlwind of training and competing across North America and Europe.
